Counsellor self-identification tags
We are introducing counsellor self-identification fields to help us better tag our counsellors, and also for these tags to appear on the counsellor profiles (on an opt-in basis).
These changes will empower clients to pick a counsellor whose identity affirms their experience (i.e. as an LGBTQ2S+ person, etc.), if they choose to do so. The identities that can appear on the counsellor card include:
- Pronouns
- Racial/Ethnic Identity
- Gender Identity (Man, Woman, Gender Non-Binary or Expansive, Transgender)
- Sexual Orientation (LGBTQ2S+)
- Other Identities (Person living with a disability, Neurodivergent person)
